Visitation

Ensure you are on the approved visitors' list before coming to the Beacon Center. There are some basic visitation rules that you should follow at the Beacon Center. You should have a valid government ID and not be a prior felon. Visiting days at the Beacon Center are weekends from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Sending a Mail/ Package

Beacon Center allows inmates to send and receive mail and packages. The number of mails an inmate can receive at the Beacon Center has no limits. However, the Beacon Center's authorities are very strict when it comes to packages. 

You will need prior approval before you are allowed to send any package to the Beacon Center. Additionally, the Beacon Center will inspect it to ensure there is no contraband. You can send magazines and books to the Beacon Center as long as they are from a publisher or authorized dealer.

Sending Money

Detainees in the Beacon Center can receive money in their commissary account via check, cash, or money order. All money orders must come through the US postal services, and the Beacon Center will not accept money orders sent through any other means.

Moreover, ensure that you mention the Beacon Center inmate's name and Colorado DOC number. You are also allowed to deposit cash at the Beacon Center lobby.

Phone Calls

Inmates at the Beacon Center should make a list of names for approval by the Beacon Center authorities, and all calls are made from the common room every day from 7 AM – 8 PM.

The receiver will bear the call cost, and each call will last for 24 minutes maximum. However, during rush hour at the Beacon Center, the calls will be 10 minutes to allow each inmate a chance to communicate with loved ones.
